How To Add Payment Forms On Your Wix Website?

Did you know that you can collect payments through your Wix website?

Well, you definitely can. Today, we’ll be assisting you in adding a payment form to your Wix website.

If you are a business that sells a product or service or simply a non-profit collecting donations, you can do this by simply adding payment forms on your Wix website.

Things To Note Before Adding A Payment Form on Wix

Before beginning with Wix payment forms, there are two prerequisites that you should know about to add a payment form to the website.

  1. You need to purchase any of Wix’s Ascend Plan, which is Wix’s all-in-one business solution and is available in Basic, Professional, and Unlimited versions.

  2. You need to have a payment setup on your Wix website, i.e., you need to be able to accept payments on your website.

You can easily add a payment form on your Wix website if you meet these two requirements.

Step By Step: How To Add Payment Forms on Wix?

Step 1: Adding A Form To Your Wix Website

Go to the Editor to select a payment form and then drag and drop it to the location you want it on your Wix website. This can be done by:

  1. Click Add on the left side of the Editor

  2. Click on Contact & Forms

  3. Select Payment under Forms as your type

  4. Drag and drop to your website

However, it is also important to note here that not every form can accept payments. For instance, a multistep form cannot accept payments.

Step 2: Customize Your Payment Form As Required

Once you’re done adding the payment form to your website, you can customize the fields within the form as per your requirements.

You can add a field, remove a field, or place an initial text or a placeholder text on each field.

Step 3: Adding a Relevant Product or Service

Here you can add relevant details about your product or service’s price and other information that might help your visitors. There is an option to add a single and multiple sets of products on Wix. Here’s how you can do it.

  1. Select the form in your Editor

  2. Click Form settings

  3. Click on the Payment tab

  4. Click on Get Started

  5. Click on Next

  6. Select the payment form type and set it up

For a single item

  • Select Single Item

  • Click Next

  • Enter a name for it under Item Name

  • Enter the price under Item Price

For A List of Items (Can add up to 25 items)

  • Select List of Items

  • Click on Next

  • Enter the name and price under Item Name and Item Price, respectively

After adding the product details and price, click on Next and Done.

Step 4: Design your form

Once the basic structure of your form gets ready, you can design it and give it some aesthetic look and feels as per your requirements. This can be done by simply clicking on the Design icon.

Wix allows users to choose from one of their preset designs or tailor the different fields according to their needs by clicking on Customize Design.
