DETAILS

Every Wix site has a sitemap file that helps get your content recognized by
search engines and Google Analytics.

The sitemap is dynamically generated on our server. Wix automatically updates
and optimizes your site's sitemap whenever you make changes to your site. For
example, if you prevent search engines from indexing a page, Wix automatically
updates your sitemap file to exclude it.

Currently, it is not possible or necessary to manually edit your sitemap file.

Changing the "Priority" and "Frequency" in a sitemap:

Google made some changes a few years ago to the importance of the "Priority"
and "Frequency" info that's submitted with the sitemap. They no longer
consider this information important, and rely more on the "Last Modified"
info, which is updated automatically each time you publish your site.

We are always working to update and improve our products, and your feedback is
hugely appreciated.
